    Peggy Sue Workman, age 65 of rural Harrison passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. Peggy was born January 28, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Lewis Kerpinski and Geraldine Bertha Holton. Peggy was united in marriage to Mr. Jerry Workman. Mr. Workman preceded Peggy in death on June 19, 1997 after several years of marriage.

    Mrs. Workman had resided in Harrison since 1990, moving from Detroit, Michigan. Peggy enjoyed frequenting yard and garage sales, playing puzzle games on her phone, watching Sci-Fi movies and television shows and cartoons, and collecting sports cards, hats and dolls.

    Peggy is survived by her five children; Steven Morningstar and wife Gidget of Harrison, Jayson Holton of Glencoe, Kentucky, Daniel Workman of Washington Court House, Ohio, Rocky Finley of Texas and Eva Workman of Washington Court House, Ohio, one step-son, Michael Schonfelder of Harrison, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister, Jerri Ann Morningstar of Gladwin, Michigan, two brothers; John Morningstar and wife Dawna of Roscommon, Michigan and Rodney Morningstar and wife Amy of Harrison, a special nieces, Kimberly England of Detroit, plus many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and her beloved fur babies; Spaz and Baby.

    Peggy also was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Rhonda Smith and Donna Palmer and one brother, Wilfred Morningstar.

    Visitation for Mrs. Workman will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Woodmere Memorial Park Cemetery, 9400 West Fort Street, Detroit, Michigan from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Woodmere Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial gifts in memory of Peggy may be considered to: Clare County Animal Shelter.
