    Mark William Kolb age 65 of Hudson, WI, passed away on October 1, 2023 due to complications following surgery. Mark was born on May 10, 1958 to parents William and Rosalie Kolb. He graduated from Abbot Pennings High School in De Pere and went on to attend Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. He worked as a plant designer at 3M for 35 years before his retirement this past June. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Angst, on October 12th, 1996 and together they were blessed with three children.

    Mark enjoyed hiking, biking, and watching the Packers. He also loved traveling with his family. A favorite place of his was in Door County at the Angst and Kolb cottages. Family was his biggest priority as he always made time to be with his children.

    He will remain in the hearts of his wife Carolyn; children Jennifer Matysik, Eric Kolb, and Veronica Kolb; siblings Debbie Kolb, Pam (John) Jenk, Lisa Maas, Stuart (Pam) Kolb, Mary Kolb, and Bill (Amy) Kolb; brother-in-law Dan (Kathy) Angst, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

    He is preceded in death by his parents William and Rosalie (VandeLogt); mother and father-in-law Virginia and John Angst; brothers-in-law Bob Maas and Jason Angst.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at St. Patrick Catholic Parish in Hudson, WI. Visitation will be from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. with Mass at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.

    The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Eric Jensen and his care team as well as the nursing staff at the University of Minnesota Medical Center – Fairview, East Bank for the care they provided Mark during his time there.
