Peacefully passed away at Arbour Creek Care Centre, on Monday, October 2, 2023, at the age of 78. Loving husband to Antonietta for 56 years. Cherished father to John (Grace), and Angela (Tony). Dear nonno of Joseph, Tomas, Ava, and Julian. Brother to Angelo (Michelina) Pettorossi, the late Pasquale (the late Maria) Pettorossi, and Anna (Rino) Verrecchia. He will be missed by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Maria and Salvatore and all his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Carmelo was a bricklayer for most of his working life, he was the hardest worker. He had a love for soccer. He enjoyed BBQ'ing and making homemade wine while spending time with his family and friends. Thank you to all the staff at Arbour Creek for treating us like family. Visitation will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.Vigil prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church (63 Highway 20 East) on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
