Her passing on October 4th, 2023, at the age of 95, marked the end of a life filled with unwavering devotion to her family and an enduring spirit that left an unforgettable mark on all who knew her.As a wife, mother, Nonna, sister, Zia, and friend, Maria excelled in every role she took on. She was not just the best; she was the embodiment of love and compassion. Her smile was a beacon of warmth, and her contagious laugh could brighten even the darkest of days.Maria's love for her family was boundless. She dedicated her life to their well-being and happiness, leaving a legacy of love and togetherness that will endure for generations to come. Her reunion with her beloved husband Michele in heaven after 31 years apart is a testament to the enduring power of love.Maria's devotion extended to her children, Frank (Pamela) and Maria Immacolata (Joseph), who she raised with love and care. She was a proud Nonna to Mikaela (Nicola), Emily, Anthony (Alyssa), and Sara (Joseph), and an adoring Bisnonna to Selena. Her family was her greatest source of joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Maria's bond with her sister Flora was unbreakable, even though they were separated by miles, with Maria in Canada and Flora in Italy. Despite the distance, they spoke on the phone every day, bridging the gap with their unwavering sisterly connection. Maria is now reunited in heaven with her other siblings Gianbattista, Angela, Carmela, Michele, Leonardo and Gino. She was a source of inspiration to her many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Her presence in their lives will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in their hearts forever.

Donations may be made to the Mackenzie Health Palliative Care Unit or the charity of your choice in memory of Maria, reflecting her commitment to caring for others even in her passing. Maria's legacy of love, generosity, and strength will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will forever shine as a beacon of love and kindness in our lives.

Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Maple Chapel (211 McNaughton Road East 905-303-0770) on Tuesday, October 10th, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church (10295 Yonge St., north of Major Mackenzie Dr.). Private Entombment to follow.
