    Evelyn Rademaker, age 95, of Baldwin, Wisconsin passed away on October 4, 2023 at the Baldwin Care Center. She was born on October 22, 1927 in Emerald, township, St Croix County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harry and Belva (Walfoort) Huenink. Evelyn was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian church of Baldwin, Wisconsin.

    She attended Bell School, Baldwin High School and 1 year at River Falls College. On August 22, 1946, Evelyn was united in marriage to Leon Rademaker at her parent’s home. After marriage, she joined the First Reformed Church of Baldwin, Wisconsin. This marriage was blessed with 5 children: Mari Ann, Richard, Carolyn, Randall and Joan.

    Leon and Evelyn bought the farm with the round barn from her parents in 1952. It was the farm she grew up on. It was a local landmark “ The Round Barn” was known by almost everyone. She lived there until 1998 when she moved to town.

    Evelyn had a big garden, strawberry bed and raspberry patch. She worked in the field, helped milk cows and feed calves.

    Evelyn enjoyed being a volunteer. For many years she was a 4-H leader. She was active in her church as a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, Bible Class teacher. She led the Girl’s League for many years. She was a member of Women’s Guild and Friendly Class. She also volunteered at Treasures of the Heart and the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond. Music was one of her joys as she loved to sing in the church’s choir.

    Preceding her in death were her husband, Leon; her parents; brothers: Lester and Earl Huenink; sister, Mary Peterson; brothers-in-law: Clarence Peterson, Norval Fordahl, Leslie (Bud) Rademaker, sister-in-law & husband Elaine (Neil) Johnson; son-in-law, Phillip Doornink; grandchildren: infant grand-daughter, Amy Rademaker, and Brian Omann.

    Evelyn is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Mari & Dennis Omann of Emerald, Carolyn & Todd Iverson of Woodville, Joan Doornink of Baldwin; sons and daughters-in-law: Richard & LeAnn of Woodville, Randall (Round Barn) & Roxi of Knapp; grandchildren: Christine (Jim Patterson) New Brighton MN, Jennifer Omann Baldwin, Jeff Omann Hammond, Scott (Nicole) Rademaker Farmington MN, Joy Million Woodville, Dan (Shantelle) Rademaker Sparta, Kellie Rademaker Wilson, Will (Sara) Doornink Star Prairie and Laura (Glenn) Dodge Glenwood City; 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; sister Henrietta Fordahl Hettinger, ND; sister-in-law Shirley Rademaker Woodville; and many nieces and nephews.

    A funeral service for Evelyn will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the First Reformed Church in Baldwin. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials are preferred to the family.
