    On September 20, 2023, Osie Jean Roberts spirit is now safe in the Father’s hands.

    Osie was born on January 16, 1938 to the late Walter Sherman Dillingham and Ossie Jane Daugherty Dillingham. She enjoyed sewing, playing piano, cooking, watching Sunday football and baseball, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Mills Chapel Baptist Church. Osie was a witty, sweet, kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who had a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

    In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Howard Dillingham Sr., Dudley Dillingham Sr., June Dillingham, Thomas Dillingham, Ann Hamilton, and Elizabeth Dillingham.

    Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 66 years, Carl L. Roberts; children, Regina Roberts Carter and Alan Sterling Roberts; grandchildren, Miranda, Christian, Corey, Zoe, Dakotah, Isaiah, Laila; great grandchildren, Kolby, Olivia, Miles and Kingston; and Godson, Terry Stafford.

    The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Mills Chapel Baptist Church. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at the church with Rev. Bobby Hill Jr. and Rev. Herbert Grant officiating. The burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler.

    The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Givens Highland Farms, CarePartners Hospice, and everyone who has cared for and loved Mom.
