June was born on June 6, 1948, to the late Martin and Delia Lamers of Appleton. She grew up on a farm with her brother Martin Jr., which contributed to her strong love for animals. June is known for her compassion and love for all innocent creatures, and she opened her heart and home to many dogs and cats throughout her life. On March 14, 1970, June married Glen Van Den Wyngaard and welcomed Jackie, Marty, and Danny into the world. Family meant everything to her, and she enjoyed planning and celebrating holidays and events with them. June had a youthful and feisty energy that added flair and fun to any event she attended. When she wasn't spending time with her family or her fur babies, Gurdy and Sophi, June enjoyed attending ceramic classes at Ceramic Fever in Little Chute, where she rarely missed a week over the last few decades. Her grandkids loved when she invited them to join her. Her ceramic friends became like family, and June held a special affection for the owner, Joan, and her sister Mary Lou.

June's family would like to express their gratitude to these ladies for providing a welcoming environment that June looked forward to attending for so many years. June was also a big fan of Polka music on Sundays, Elvis, the Hallmark network, "Murder, She Wrote," and, of course, her daily "stories" that came on each day at 11am. June was an avid reader and filled her home with all the wonderful literature she had read throughout her life. Her family will miss her talented baking skills, such as her famous birthday cookies that she gave to her grandkids each year. Watching the kids fight over her masterpieces brought pure delight to June.

June is survived by her two children: Jackie (Herb Loose) and Danny (Heather) Van Den Wyngaard, her grandchildren: Amanda Loose (Craig), Jordan Loose, Janelle Loose, Joselyn Loose, Sebastian Hayes, Dylan Hayes, Evelynn Hayes, Luke Van Den Wyngaard, and Lilianna Van Den Wyngaard, and multiple grandfur babies, especially Molly Pug, who loved slumber parties with Grandma and never left her side. June is also survived by her dear Aunt Mary Van De Hey, whom she looked up to and respected, as well as cousins Sharon Lamers and Barbara, nephews Brett Lamers, James (Kelly) Lamers, and Billy Lamers, niece Linda Jean (Mike Maki), cousin Rose Marie Hieptas, Eileen, Elaine, and many other cousins, sweet and helpful neighbors, and friends. June, also known as Junebug by those near and dear, developed special little friendships with many of Danny's friends over the years. These young men became like adopted sons, and June enjoyed their visits and laughs.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Luke and Abbie Quella, Jeremiah and Mandy Voigt, Mike and Travis Robach, Bobby and Sarah Stumpf, Ryan Spoehr, and many others for the unconditional love they showed to our mom over the years. Many of her wonderful neighbors, especially her next-door neighbor Aaron Sicker, who would cut the grass, take out the garbage, and offer friendly chats with Junebug. June was preceded in death by her parents, her infant sister Mary, her brother Martin Lamers Jr., her son Marty Van Den Wyngaard, her grandparents, and many other beloved family members and friends. The family would like to express a huge thank you to the staff at Theda Care Appleton, especially Dr. Marquis, for your compassion, the entire team at the Heart and Vascular Institute in Appleton for the years of amazing care, and Dr. Andrew Pahl for making a significant difference in her quality of life through thorough care. Special thanks from the bottom of our hearts go to the following people: Mike Peterson, Trevor Frank, and Sondra Norder. If it weren't for you, June wouldn't have been able to fulfill her final wish of spending her last days among family and friends at St. Paul in Kaukauna. These angels went above and beyond to make a single person's wishes come true. The two weeks June spent at St. Paul exceeded our expectations. The pure compassion shown by every worker, whether in housekeeping, administration, nursing, or volunteering, speaks to the special group of people blessed by God. We are immensely grateful for the time and care you provided to June, making her final moments on Earth comfortable and special.

We would like to extend an extra special thank you to those who went above and beyond for June: hospice Nurse Corrine, Social Worker Linda, Nurse Hannah, and Nurse Lorrie. You ladies will hold a special place in our hearts for the love and compassion you shared with our sweet June.
