Diane Ellen Bohana, 78, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, at UH Lake West Hospital in Willoughby.
Born Jan. 28, 1945, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for 46 years.
Diane enjoyed gambling, doing puzzles, was famous for her handmade yearly calendars, and watching Golden Girls and Judge Judy. She was a member of the Mentor Senior Center. She loved and cared for all of her friends and family, but most of all she loved spending time with her three grandchildren and doing all she could with them.
She was an x-ray technician for more than 40 years, working at various hospitals throughout the years and retired from Erieside Medical.
Diane was the beloved mother of Laurie A. (Scott) Brancel and Charles R. Bohana; cherished grandmother of Christina Brancel, Matthew Brancel and A.J. Bohana; aunt of Vicky Ruck, Jack (Janece) Yatsko and Dana Yatsko; and great-aunt of Joshua (Alycia) Yatsko, Zackary Ruck, Cassidy Yatsko and Grace Yatsko.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Isabelle (nee Skrzypinski) Harris; sister, Roberta Yatsko; and nephew-in-law, John Ruck.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, and from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, with a funeral service following the visitation on Friday at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private.
